 Department of Foreign Languages has one opening for a native English-speaking instructor.

Start Date: Various start dates, until the position is filled
Work start: Negotiable
Essential Functions of position include;
teaching a range of English subjects mainly to English and Business English Major students for about 15-18 periods (a period of 50 mins) or more per week (Mon-Fri) depending on the overall workload held by the Department or as seen appropriate by the Department;

subjects to be taught/may include English for Hotel 1, Business English 2, English for Advanced Communications, and English for Technical Communication;

planning lessons, preparing course materials, delivering lessons, managing classes, preparing examination papers, setting tests and reporting grades for the assigned subjects according to the University plan and schedule;

creating activities associated with the English and Business English curricula and taking turns among foreign contract teachers to organize them for students;

compiling or producing course materials, textbooks, learning kits or audio-visual aids for at least one subject taught per a semester;

contributing his or her skills or expertise to assist in the extra-curricular work assigned to the Department such as translation and editing;

teaching and managing English subjects arranged by the University Language Centre for both students and non-students in a variety of instructional settings and times, occasionally including evenings, weekends, and off-campus.


Minimum Qualifications

male/female native English speakers or the equivalent

age 25-60;

a holder of at least a Bachelor’s Degree or higher, preferably in English, Business English, English literature, linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Curriculum and Instruction or General Education;

a holder of English teaching certificates such as TEFL or the equivalent; teaching experience is an advantage;

availability for work for at least 12 months; willingness to get involved in social and cultural activities organized by the University such as sports competitions, school parties, dinners, and excursions; willingness to devote time to assist students’ and colleagues’ learning and self-development  in free times; 

interest and determination to develop him/herself professionally and academically; an ability to understand and adapt to students’ learning and colleagues’ working cultures;

personable, enthusiastic, well-organized, proactive and cooperative.

Salary and benefits
Salary 19,790 Baht and 8,000 Baht accommodation allowance
 Paid national and public holidays
 Half the costs of visa and work permit
